Ackleom privacy policy

Last updated 15 October 2026

The short version of the Ackleom privacy policy

  • Before you consent, photo quality checks run in your browser and photos are not sent to our server.
  • After you consent, photo checks and report requests are saved on our server, including cleaned photos, any optional video, your written answers, and the results.
  • Ackleom does not use saved photos to train its own models.
  • We don’t ask for your name, email or an account.

What we save and for how long

We record each photo-check and report request, including its time, consent state, outcome and any error. Once you consent, we also save the submitted information and media. Photos are resized and re-encoded to remove embedded metadata before storage. Optional videos are saved as uploaded, but are not yet analysed. We do not add your IP address or browser cookie to these history records. The history is in a private database on our server and is not available through a public history page.

These records currently remain until we delete them manually. There is no automatic deletion period yet. You can request deletion using the contact below; include the approximate date and time of your submission so we can find it.

Who processes your photos

To create your report, cleaned photos are sent to an AI model through OpenRouter, a service that connects to model providers. OpenRouter and the model provider process them under their own terms. Your photos are also checked for face visibility by our own photo-check service. Our website is hosted by a hosting provider that may keep basic technical logs, such as the time and IP address of a request, as part of running the site. These providers process data on our behalf.

On your device

Closing or refreshing the page clears your browser’s copies of the photos and report. It does not delete records already saved on our server.

Usage limits

To keep Ackleom available to everyone and to control costs, each person can run a limited number of scans per day. To count them, we use a random cookie in your browser and a scrambled form (a one-way hash) of your network address. These are kept for about a day, are not linked to your photos or report, and your network address is never stored in readable form.

Age

Ackleom is for adults aged 18 and over. Please don’t upload photos of children.

Not medical advice

Reports are cosmetic guidance only and are not a medical diagnosis. For skin concerns, see a qualified dermatologist.
